Voltamp Transformers Ltd. based in Vadodara manufactures Oil filled Power and Distribution Transformers. They wanted to invest in an ERP solution that could help them streamline their existing business.
Voltamp Transformers was running an in-house developed solution before they decided to implement Microsoft Dynamics NAV. The homegrown ERP solution could not keep up with the growing and complex needs of the business. After evaluating several ERPs, including SAP, Voltamp chose to implement Microsoft Dynamics NAV with Intech. Voltamp was impressed with the additional functionality of the modules Intech has created specially for the Capital Equipment Manufacturing Industry.
The new integrated solution implemented at Voltamp presents consolidated, company-wide business information at all levels in real time, helping sales to shop-floor managers make better decisions and focus on the customer needs. All the manufacturing units and branch offices of Voltamp are better controlled centrally by the headquarters and operation is now streamlined., The main advantage of the seamless execution is seen in Supply and Demand Planning where Voltamp is able to accurately plan procurement of raw materials, better schedule job orders and ensure on-time delivery of goods based on the sales order received.
